To bulk edit manual forecast in Procore, pull every line on the project into one Excel sheet. Change a unit cost once and fill it down, paste the remaining quantities from the field, add rows for the budget codes with no forecast, then review and sync to Procore. Only what changed is sent.
Pull every manual forecast line into one sheet
Open Manual Forecast in the Sandspit task pane, choose the budget view, and click Pull from Procore. Every itemized manual entry on every budget line lands on one sheet, sorted by budget code, with description, quantity, UOM, unit cost, and amount.
Change a unit cost once and fill it down
When a price moves, type the new unit cost on one row and drag the fill handle down every line it applies to. Amount recalculates as quantity times unit cost, and each changed cell is highlighted against what you pulled.
Paste the remaining quantities
Copy what’s left to install from your superintendent’s quantities-to-go sheet or the schedule, and paste it into the Quantity column. Amounts update as you paste.
Note: Budget code is locked on pulled rows. To move a forecast to a different code, add a new row and delete the old item in Procore.
Add the budget codes with no forecast
Switch the task pane to Coverage. It lists every budget code with no manual forecast line. Tick the ones that need one and click Add codes. Sandspit adds a blank row per code. Fill them from your estimate, or ask your AI copilot in Excel to do it.
Note: An AI copilot is your own assistant working on the sheet, not part of Sandspit. Check what it wrote before you sync.
Review and sync
The task pane lists every changed row with before and after values, and anything blocked under Needs attention. Fix those, then click Sync to Procore. Only changed rows are sent: existing lines update in place and new rows become new line items. Sandspit re-pulls at the end so the sheet matches Procore.
Note: Sandspit does not check whether someone else changed the same line in Procore since your pull. On a shared budget, refresh before a big sync.
Why the month-end forecast takes an afternoon
Forecast to complete goes stale every month. Procore keeps the manual forecast inside each budget line, so updating it means opening every line and adjusting its items one by one. Sixty lines is sixty panels.
The numbers usually live in a spreadsheet already: what’s left in the field, current prices, and the estimate. The work is getting them onto the right lines.

Keep those sheets in the same workbook and you can paste or fill from them directly.
Can AI fill the manual forecast from my estimate?
Yes, if the estimate is in the same workbook. Ask the AI copilot you use in Excel, such as Microsoft Copilot or Claude, to fill description, quantity, UOM, and unit cost on the new rows. That is your assistant working on the sheet, not a Sandspit feature, and nothing reaches Procore until you review and sync.
Is this Procore Advanced Forecasting?
No. This works with the manual line items on the Budget tool. It does not touch the Forecasting tab, curves, or monthly spreads.
Can I delete a forecast line from Excel?
Not in the current release. Deleting a row removes it from the sheet only, and it comes back on the next pull. Delete line items in Procore.
What permission do I need?
Standard or Admin on the project’s Budget tool. Read Only can pull a budget with Budget Review but cannot sync forecast changes.
A budget code is missing from the dropdown.
It has no budget line. Procore rejects a forecast item against a code that is not budgeted, so Sandspit leaves those codes out. Add the line in Procore, or at zero dollars from Budget Review’s missing lines panel, then refresh the picklists.
