Ball-in-Court Tracking
Ball-in-court tracking shows you exactly who needs to take the next action on each submittal. It's essential for managing workflow progress.
What is Ball-in-Court?
"Ball-in-court" is a Procore concept that indicates which company is responsible for the next action on a submittal. It changes as the submittal moves through the approval workflow.
- Subcontractor — Initial submission, revisions needed
- General Contractor — Internal review before architect
- Architect — Design review and approval
- Engineer — Technical review when required
Viewing Ball-in-Court
The ball-in-court column in the grid shows the company name for each submittal. You can:
- Sort by ball-in-court — Group items by responsible party
- See at a glance — Quickly identify who's holding up progress
- Track your items — Spot items waiting on your company
Multiple Approvers
When a workflow step has multiple parallel approvers, the ball-in-court shows all companies that need to respond.
Filtering by Ball-in-Court
Use the ball-in-court filter to focus on specific parties:
- Open the Ball in Court filter
