Permissions

Sandspit respects your existing Procore permissions. You'll only see and be able to modify data you already have access to.


Permission Model

Sandspit inherits permissions directly from Procore. We don't have a separate permission system—your access in Sandspit exactly mirrors your access in Procore.

This means:

  • If you can view a submittal in Procore, you can view it in Sandspit
  • If you can edit a submittal in Procore, you can edit it in Sandspit
  • If you can't access a project in Procore, it won't appear in Sandspit

Permission Levels

* Standard users may have additional restrictions based on Procore configuration


Permission Sync

Sandspit automatically syncs permissions from Procore:

  • Permissions are refreshed every 5 minutes
  • Changes in Procore are reflected in Sandspit automatically
  • No action needed when permissions change

Permission Changes

If your Procore permissions change, the changes will be reflected in Sandspit within a few minutes.


Common Questions

Why can't I see a project?

You may not have access to the project in Procore, or it may not have the Submittals tool enabled.

Why can't I edit a submittal?

Check your Procore permissions. You may have read-only access to that project or submittal.

Why can't I respond to a workflow?

You can only respond when it's your turn in the workflow. Check if you're an active approver for the current step.
